R20 Tattoo Removal Technique

The word is out in the news - R20 tattoo removal technique is the new method to remove your tattoos. It was said that this is the best alternative to get rid of your tattoos because it takes only one or two doctor visits to remove it completely.

Cheaper and safer way to remove your tattoo effectively

Amazing. I wonder how it works...hmm...not that I have a tattoo but once upon the time when I was a crazy teenager I made a pact with my then best friend to get a tattoo right after we finished high school. Not that we dare and we were pretty broke despite doing some McJobs. I can't remember exactly why I wanted to get a tattoo but I guess I wanted to be different from the rest of my peers...see I never into fashion and all that but getting a tattoo is entirely a new frontier for us back then even if tattoo is not foreign in my culture. I am from a local tribe where in the past most adult members of my tribe tattooed. These tattoos were more than just decoration. Each tattoo had it's own meaning and story. But I think I will share about all that in a different lens since I have digressed from the topic at hand.

What Is R20 Tattoo Removal Technique?

R20 tattoo removal technique is a totally new method which was first mentioned in a recently published study in the American Academy of Dermatology.

Read summary of the study here.

It said that you can completely remove your embarassing tattoos with only one or two doctor visits. That is very exciting because traditional tattoo removal technique using laser can take a long time, sometime up to twenty treatments. Each treatment typically spaced at least eight weeks apart. This is very costly and painful and long time treatment.

So how does R20 method works?

Traditional tattoo removal technique uses one pass of the laser during one treatment. However, R20 method uses four passes of the laser in one treament. After these passes you have to wait for 20 minutes before resuming another treatment. Whitish tiny bubbles will appear immediately after the passes of the laser. Therefore you have to wait for 20 minutes so that these tiny bubbles can completely subside because laser cannot penetrate these bubbles. Once these bubbles disappear, another treatment can resume. Four treatments can be completed in one doctor visit. So it is likely you can totally get rid of your tattoo in two doctor visits - 8 treatments in all.

R20 Tattoo Removal Cost

Traditional laser method of removing tattoo costs about $400 for one doctor visit. This can go up to $3200 for eight visits. So how much is R20 laser tattoo removal cost? The cost of one doctor visit for R20 tattoo removal technique is $1500. Each visit has about four treatments. If you are going for two visits, you have to pay up to $3000. Not much difference if you ask me but the length of time to remove that dreadful tattoo is definitely shorter.

Any Cheaper Alternative?

Why yes. If you don't have $3000 and you are willing to wait for four months to get rid of that tattoo so listen...try the natural way. Think about it. Tattoos is not modern stuff. It has been around for hundreds of years. Here what Wikipedia has to say about this:

"Tattooing has been practiced for centuries in many cultures spread throughout the world. The Ainu, an indigenous people of Japan, traditionally had facial tattoos. Today, one can find Berbers of Tamazgha (North Africa), Mouri of New Zealand, Hausa people of Northern Nigeria, Arabic people in East-Turkey and Atayal of Taiwan with facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesians and among certain tribal groups in Taiwan, Philippines, Borneo, Mentawai Islands, Africa, North America, South America, Mesoamerica, Europe, Japan, Cambodia, New Zealand and Micronesia. Indeed, the island of Great Britain takes its name from tattooing, with Britons translating as 'people of the designs' and the Picts, who originally inhabited the northern part of Britain, which literally means 'the painted people'.[1] British people remain the most tattooed in Europe.[1] Despite some taboos surrounding tattooing, the art continues to be popular in many parts of the world."
Quote taken from Wikipedia

Now if you were to live those centuries ago and wanted to remove your tattoo, are you going to make an appointment for a laser treatment? It doesn't make sense because laser tattoo removal is a modern invention. It doesn't exist in 1850s or even in 1940s. So how did they remove their tattoos back then? The natural way, of course.

How?

Well, you have to go see it for yourself because if I were to explain everything here, this will become the longest lens in history of Squidoo.

  2. Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wished to say that I've really enjoyed browsing your blog posts.A tattoo is a layer of ink underneath the skin. In laser tattoo removal, the light of the laser is used in short but intense bursts to break up the ink. There really aren’t any common side effects to tattoo removal with laser machines, other than slight redness, swelling and a small amount of pain in the immediate area afterwards.

  8. I thought this blog post was very informative post. There is not a lot of information out there about R20, so this was a good read. I thought you pricing estimates where a little inflated. Though I'm sure many tattoos cost $400 to get removed, but simple 1 inch x1 inch ones can go for as low as $75/removal. Using the R20 estimate, 1 session could go for $300 when compared towards your $1,600 R20 session. You probably over inflated the pricing because you have content related to home removal techniques, non of which are FDA certified. Go laser route, go R20 is black ink is what you have.
